6 Months

Elsa is actually 6 1/2 months old already, but we just went in today for her 6 month well baby visit.  I really cannot believe 6 1/2 months have passed us by!  Elsa is getting so big and going through so many changes each day.  She's beginning to explore more and is very determined to get something even if she can't crawl to get there!  It's so fun to watch her go through these stages and I am so thankful and feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with her during the summer months.  She does such a great job sleeping now - she's a mover though!  She is upside down and backwards or sideways in her bed almost every morning.  We had to get shots today and she cried harder than ever before.  I always hope it will get a little easier and it was the exact opposite.  It took forever for me to get her calmed down.  We were both crying and sweating by the time we left!  But we got to cuddle and usually she moves around too much for that!  It has been so much fun to spend all this wonderful time with her!

Elsa - here are your 6 month memories:
*You weigh 15 lbs. and 8 1/2 oz. and are 26 1/4 inches tall.
*You are still wearing 3-6 month clothes, you're about ready to move into 6-9 month.
*You wear size 2 diapers - you'll be moving into size 3 soon.
*You are drinking 6 oz. bottles 5 times a day - milk is still your favorite food!
*You are eating barley cereal in the morning, you're not so sure about this just yet.
*After you're done with your cereal you drink some water out of a sippy.  You don't like the water at all, but you LOVE the sippy!
*You are close to being able to sit up by yourself, but you still need a little support.  You're getting much more stable.
*You're rolling around all over the place!  You never stay in one place.
*After you eat you like to read books.  Right now Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and Baby's Bible Friends are your two favorite books.  When you're done with your bottle you put your head back so you can see the books on the book shelf and then smile like crazy when I get them off the shelf.  You laugh and giggle when I tell you the title and you love trying to help me turn the pages and you even try to eat the pages sometimes!
*You love your jump-up and jump-a-roo!  You really like bounce, bounce, bouncing!
*You like your stroller now that you can sit up like a big kid and don't need your infant seat. We go for a walk almost every night and you like to look at the trees and houses.
*You do not have any teeth yet, but you're drooling and gnawing on everything you can find!
*You do not need to be swaddled anymore and you're a great sleeper!  You move a lot when you sleep, often times in the morning I will come in and find you upside down in your bed!
*You take three naps a day - one is usually 45 minutes and the other two last between 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
*You love taking a bath at night, you splash every time you're in the water!
*You go to bed at night around 7:45/8:00 and sleep until 6:30/6:45.

It's amazing what's happened in the last 6 1/2 months!  Chad and I went from being so excited for her to come, to wondering how on earth we were going to survive, to LOVING every minute spent with our precious little princess.

Anxiously awaiting her arrival...whoa belly! :)
She's here and we love her to pieces, but she's not quite sure she is ready to be out of Mommy's tummy.
Unfortunately it took her about 8 weeks to realize it is more fun out here than in Mommy's tummy!
Getting better, this was taken around 8 weeks and she started to get much more content.
Full of smiles, full of fun, full of love!

So sweet! And your "whoa belly" comment cracks me up, because I am pretty sure at 24 weeks my belly is already bigger than yours right before you gave birth...sheesh! ;-)
