So today we went to Lansing to celebrate Elsa's Grandpa Sali's birthday. It was our first long road trip. The day started out with Elsa not exactly feeling like herself. She's battling her first cold :( she seems okay, it may be Mommy who is struggling with it more than Elsa (just a tad bit over protective yet! :). However, her not being her normal self slowed us down a bit and we left a half hour later than we were supposed to. The first part of the trip she was just not having it, she didn't like the idea of being upset and being stuck in her seat. Once she calmed down, she slept the rest of the way there. We were a half hour late the the birthday dinner...so sorry Sali family! Once we were there she had Grandpa, her aunties, her uncles, and her big cousin Makiya to love her to pieces so she forgot all about not feeling well...until the ride home that is...
Thankfully she fell back asleep on the ride home. A three hour car trip is LONG for such a little girl! Overall she did a really great job for having to be in her seat for such a long time. Mommy and Daddy are very proud of her!
