Elsa's Baptism

Elsa Corinne - today is your baptism day.  This is the day where Mommy and Daddy, your family, friends, and church members have promised to do all we can to raise you to love Jesus and to share His love with others.  You looked beautiful in your baptism gown today and your dress has a very special meaning.  Mommy and Daddy designed your dress and used Grandma Sali's wedding veil as part of your dress.  Even though Grandma wasn't at church today, she was up in heaven with Jesus looking down with a big smile on her face because of how beautiful you are.  Mommy and Daddy are going to do all we can to help you to grow up loving Jesus so that when you are older you will be able to profess that love which will in-turn give you ever-lasting life through Jesus.  Then some day when you go to heaven you will be able to meet your Grandma Sali.  

You did such a great job in church today.  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!  You slept some, but woke up when Uncle Mart sprinkled the water on your head.  Our family was all there to show you how much they love you.

After church we had a celebration in honor of your baptism.  You had on your party dress, but by this time you were tired.  Everyone wanted to see you and hold you and tell you how happy they were for you, but it was hard to celebrate because you just wanted to sleep!  You received some really great Bible story books and worship CD's from your family.  All of these things will help you learn more about Jesus.  

All the yummy food for your family - right now your favorite food is still milk!

                

By the time we got home you were exhausted!  You fell asleep faster than you ever have before and you slept great!  What a wonderful day God blessed us with today.  We love you so much Elsa Corinne!
