The Brouwers: Elsa is Two!

Today Elsa is two - I can hardly believe it's been two years since we brought home a teeny, tiny screaming baby! And now she seems so old - just within the past couple of weeks Chad and I have noticed how grown up she seems. She's getting more comfortable with her big sister role, she is becoming more gentle with Gaivn, she's talking like crazy, and she's becoming even more independent.

Elsa - here are your two year memories:

*You weigh somewhere around 25 pounds (we have your two year check-up in a couple of weeks and you will not be happy about the "boo-boos" you will get when you're there).
*You are wearing 18-24 month clothes, 2T sleepers, and size 6 shoes.
*You are wearing size 4 diapers.
*You're hair is getting so long! You are not a big fan of having it done, but Mommy makes you have it in a "bow" (you call all hair things bows) everyday.
*You go to bed around 7:30 and usually sleep until 6:30.
*You nap from 12:45/1:00 until 3:00/3:30 (sometimes even longer!)
*Your paci and lovie are greatly needed during sleepy times.
*You are a very strong willed little girl. You like to be independent and usually don't like it if Mommy and Daddy make you do something you don't want to do.
*You love reading books - usually with Mommy or Daddy, but sometimes we find you in the reading corner of your bedroom reading books.
*You can count to 10, but you always start with the #2.
*You know your colors well. You know: pink, red, yellow, orange, green, blue, and purple.
*You can make some letter sounds: /a/, /b/, /g/, /j/, /m/, /o/ and you know the zoo phonics friend that goes with these sounds.
*You know your first, middle, and last name and I love to hear you say all three!
*You love singing "The Wheels on the Bus", you do a great job with the motions for this song. At bedtime you like to sing "This Little Light of Mine" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".
*You really like using your new scissors to cut with and you love painting!
*You know so many words and you love to talk. You're language has really exploded over the past few weeks and you're doing a great job mimicking Mommy and Daddy. :)
*You like to sit on the big girl potty before bath time.
*You are starting to do more imaginary play - you like to set your table in the basement and make a picnic or a tea party.
*You love playing with your baby dolls, you feed them, rock them, and put them "night night".
*You love your baby brother and are learning how to be more gentle around him.
