Relay for Life

This was our 14th Relay for Life.  It's crazy to think we've been Relaying that long.  The kids were really excited to go to Relay this year, so we all took a half day on Friday and got there just after the event started at 2:00 p.m.  So we had all day on Friday and stayed almost until the end on Saturday.  The kids were really excited to "camp" so we let them stay up and enjoy some of the evening/night activities and then they slept great!  Elsa and Gavin had a lot of fun at the zoo themed Relay this year.  They made crafts, played games, played on the playground, and did a lot of walking.  Elsa walked 6 miles!  As fun as it is for the kids, it's equally hard for me.  I love seeing them have fun and Relay in memory of their Grandma, but it's sad to me that my kids have to grow up doing this because cancer is such a big part of our lives.  I want them to serve, but how I wish they could serve with her instead of doing it for her since she can no longer.

It was cool and a bit rainy on Friday evening.  That didn't stop us from the luminary ceremony.  Elsa was very proud of her luminary she made for Grandma.

 Saturday sillies!
 Playing in the bubble balls!

 At the park!

And we tried cardio drumming this year.  The kids had a lot of fun!
