We had a weekend of winter fun! First, we tried ice skating. Grandpa let Elsa and Gavin borrow the ice skates that Mommy and Aunties used when we were little. We went to the outside ice skating rink in Holland and Elsa did fabulous! Gavin put the skates on for a little while and eventually took them off and had more fun running and sliding across the ice!
Then we headed to the beach! It was so amazing! A beautiful sunny day! We could hear the echo of the ice cracking and moving out on Lake Michigan. The kids loved sliding down the dunes since the sand was pretty frozen and they were moving pretty quick! Their little legs got quite the workout! We walked up the steps at Laketown three times and went up and down the sand hills more times than that!
What a fun, adventure-filled winter weekend!
