Elsa's Special Day

Today Elsa was so excited to go to school, get her birthday crown, and pass out her princess treats to her friends!  She went for a special birthday breakfast with Daddy and his youth group kiddos (they sang her a song, she got a giant chocolate chip pancake, and a birthday cupcake - but she was so shy she barely ate or picked her head up from Chad.), then spent the morning at school.  I picked her up before lunch and we had some Mommy/Elsa snuggles.  Then Daddy came home and the three of us headed to Grandville.  Elsa chose Applebees and we enjoyed a yummy lunch, a birthday song, and a special birthday treat.  Then we went to the mall.  This was the first time she'd been in the mall and was quite intrigued.  We rode up and down the escalator a lot of times!  :)  Then we went to Build-A-Bear and, as a present from us, Elsa got to make a bear and dress it.  She had so much fun!  She rode the carousel on the way out and then we headed back to Holland.

Yummy birthday lunch!

Build-A-Bear
She picked out a red and pink heart bear that smells like candy.  Then she picked out a heart and is giving the heart special thoughts before she puts it in the bear.

Filling her bear!
Elsa loved "bathing" her new bear.  She spent a lot of time brushing her.

All set and in her new home!
A quick ride on a mer-horse...:)
Meet Sparkle!
Then we went and picked up Gavin and headed to the "bouncy house" - their favorite place to go on their birthdays.  We had a lot of fun bouncing, sliding, and playing together.

We headed home for Elsa's birthday supper:  "cheese rings" (AKA tortellini), tomatoes, cheese bread, and princess cupcakes.  After that Gavin gave her some presents.  It was so sweet, she was so excited to see what he got her, and gave him hugs after each gift.  At one point she was so into the gift she forgot the hug and he says, "do you want to hug me now?"  :)

A big smile!
A box full of princess crowns!  Woo-hoo!

She was fast asleep during Bible stories tonight!  Such a fun and adventurous day for our big five year old!!
