Elsa is FIVE!

I really cannot believe that Elsa is already five years old!  Chad and I were talking and, on one hand, it seems like just yesterday we brought our teeny, tiny, five pound baby home from the hospital and struggled to adjust to life with an incredibly fussy infant.  On the other hand, it seems like that was ages ago.  Either way we look at it, she's already five and so full of adventure, spunk, and love.

We are so thankful for her adventurous, loving, sweet nature.  She definitely is strong-willed and stubborn, but we know that one day God will use that and turn her into a great leader.  Right now, we have to figure out how to channel that strong-willed, stubborn personality into positive outlets.  She's learning and growing so much each day!  She surprises us often with new words she had learned the meaning of, new words she's learned to read, the crazy amount of math problems she knows, and the wonderful prayers she says for our family.

Elsa - here are your five year memories:

*You love school!  You love Young Five's and love going to school, learning, and seeing your friends and your teachers.
*At school your favorite thing to do is the art center.  You bring home SO many art projects every.single.day!
*You also love Thursdays because it's Mr. Dean day and you love having Bible and worship with him.  Plus Gavin gets to go to Mr. Dean now and you two like to sit together.  :)
*Rarely do you nap anymore.  You sleep much better at night if you do not nap.  At bedtime you are ready to sleep by 7:30 and sleep until 6:00/6:30.
*Your favorite food is cinnamon rolls.
*Your favorite color is rainbow.
*Your favorite books are anything Fancy Nancy or Pinkalicious.
*Your favorite inside activity is art.
*You love to ride your bike outside and go to the playground.
*You really love being fancy and princess stuff right now - dress up is a lot of fun!
*Your brother adores you!  He copies most of your words, actions, and always wants to do what you're doing.  For the most part, you tolerate this, but sometimes it really bothers you.
*You are reading lots of sight word books and love reading lots of stories and Bible at bedtime.
*You really enjoy math and often ask us to "quiz" you on math problems during supper time. :)
*You can write lots of names on your own and can write all kinds of other things with some spelling help.  Currently, you enjoy writing: "Mom", "Dad", "Elsa", "Gavin", "TT", "Jesus".

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!  We love you!!
