It's seriously been two years since our little man joined our family. It's crazy it's been that long! I was petrified two years ago to even think about having a boy...thankfully that's changed. I am still figuring out a lot of "boy" things, but I am getting the hang of it! :) Gavin is so full of energy. His excitement at the little things in life are a great reminder for us to slow down and enjoy each day. When he explores and finds something new, he's so excited about it and can't wait for us to come and see the "new" thing he's discovered. His language has exploded and he's piecing together 3-5 words at a time. He loves to sing and dance and his all time favorite thing is to play with Elsa. He loves her so much and just wants to do everything she does. Which, at times, can be a problem because he's not capable of doing everything she does and that causes the two year old tantrums to come into play. Even with all the craziness we have with having a two year old and a three year old, we are so blessed and excited that God has chosen us to be his parents. What a sweet blessing Gavin James is to our family!
Gavin - here are your two year memories:
*You weigh 31 pounds and are 35 inches tall.
*You take one nap a day for 2-2.5 hours and sleep from about 7:30-6:30 each night.
*You are such a Mommy's boy. Any chance you have, you're snuggled up on Mommy! (Of course Mommy doesn't mind it!)
*You love your monkey blanket, lovie, and paci. You carry these three things around with you all over the house.
*Your favorite inside activity is "jump-ball" (jumping on the trampoline with balls).
*Your favorite outside activity is watering flowers (and yourself!).
*You like to read books and play with puzzles. You're getting very good at the shape puzzle.
*You talk all the time! You try to keep up with Elsa and copy most of what she says. Some of our favorite phrases: "Mac nice me" (Max is nice to me), "Elsa nap", "Gavin all done", "Mommy hold" (Mommy, hold me), "nack!" (snack), "meet!" (treat), "Gabi" (Gavin),
*You really like to play with balls, throwing, catching, or rolling on them.
*You make most animal sounds and tell us the name of the animal too.
*You can sing your ABC's (not all the letters sound like they should, but you're trying!).
*You can count to 10 and love to play hide and seek.
*You know a lot of the Zoo Phonics friends and the sounds they make. You especially love Pee-Wee Penguin (and love to make the waddle motion)!
*You like to sit on the potty and have done a number 1 and 2 on the potty now. So when you want to go, we try. :)
*You L.O.V.E. Elsa! You follow her everywhere, do what she does, and try to say what she says!
