Binder Park Zoo

We went to Binder Park Zoo today!  The kids did pretty well, there was a lot of walking involved, a lot of people, and a lot of the animals were difficult for them to see, but they enjoyed seeing the animals that they could and had fun riding the train, the tram, playing at the park, playing in the petting zoo, riding the carousel, and feeding the giraffes.  Gavin was sound asleep before we even left the parking lot, what a big day for that little buddy!  Elsa fought sleep while reading books, but eventually caved in and let her tired little body get some rest too!  When we asked them what they liked best:

Elsa's favorite part: "feeding the giraffes because they licked me!"

Gavin's favorite part:  "maaa!" which means the goats in the petting zoo (we found this funny since he wouldn't go near the goats and wouldn't let me put him down the whole time we were by them!)

The whole time it was moving Gavin was in awe.  He just kept looking all around and making animal noises! 

Elsa loved being able to go in and pet the goats.  

And brush them!

And feed them!

Gavin and Mommy watched from outside the fence and this little guy thought we were going to feed him so he jumped up and startled both of us! 

Gavin's first carousel ride!  He chose to ride on an "e-e-e" (monkey)!  

Elsa's first time on the carousel!  She chose a polar bear.  

Elsa LOVED feeding the giraffes!  

She pulled back when it licked her!  

Laughed and kept going!  

Gavin got brave and fed the giraffe while I was holding him.  

Tram ride and ice cream!
