Elsa is THREE!

I cannot believe it's been three years since we welcomed our sweet, five pound little girl into this world!

Elsa Corinne - you are a strong willed, determined, independent little girl.  We love you for you and are so thankful for all that you've brought to our lives.  You are so energetic and full of life.  Your enthusiasm and excitement in exploring and learning new things is contagious and so fun to watch.  It's wonderful to see you learn, grow, and discover life around you.  

Here are your 3 year old memories:

*You go to the doctor for your 3 year well-child visit in a couple of weeks so we'll see then how big you are!  

*You only wear a diaper at night (size 5) and wear underwear throughout the day since you've mastered both peeing and pooping on the potty!  

*You are wearing 3T clothes and size 8 shoes.  We will probably start moving into some 4T clothes soon.  

*You sleep at night from about 7:30/8:00 p.m. until 6:00/6:30 a.m.  

*You just gave up your beloved paci.  You gave it away to Baby Harper and are doing a fantastic job sleeping at night without your paci.

*You take one nap a day and sleep anywhere from 2-3.5 hours in the afternoon.

*You still sleep with your lovie and have just recently decided you like sleeping with your "little pink dolphin" which is a bathtub toy that never made it to the tub.

*You do a great job eating meals and snacks and drinking your milk because you know it will help you become "big and strong".  

*You love to read books.  Some of your current favorites are any of the "Bear" series, "Pete the Cat" series, you love reading Bible stories and your current favorite is Joseph and his colorful coat.  You can read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to us and love to pick out new books to read.

*You're becoming more interested in TV shows and currently enjoy watching "Dora", "Curious George", "Oomi Zoomie", "Care Bears", and "Sid the Science Kid".

*You really enjoy art projects.  Painting and cutting are some of your favorite activities.  

*When we play in the play room, you love to jump on the "jump-o-line" and have picnics with your play food.  You also really like to make a band and give instruments to us and have us join your band.  

*You surprise us, almost everyday, with all the new things you know and your understanding of concepts, phrases, and words.  (For example:  you know the entire "Pledge of Allegiance", you know and understand the meaning of the words: patience, cooperate, and predicament.)

*You can spell your name and can recognize the letters in your name along with most of the rest of the alphabet and most numbers through nine.  

*You can count to 20, but often leave out 15.  :)  

*You love going to daycare.  Thursdays are your favorite "school" days because they're Mr. Dean days and you get to hear a Bible story and sing lots of great songs with him.  

*Playing outside is one of your favorite activities.  You like to play in the snow and build snowmen with Daddy.  You like to shovel and ride on your sled.  When there isn't snow everywhere you love riding your bike and going to the park.  

*You L.O.V.E. your brother!  You have such a tender heart with him (most of the time) and love to give him hugs, kisses, find his paci, walk around the house with him telling him "it's okay Gavin, it's okay".  You recently started calling him your best friend and like to do "best friend" and "family" hugs.  Whenever Gavin cries, you are close by to help him however you can.  You love to hold him after he wakes up from his nap, although he's getting to be almost as big as you are!  :)  

Elsa Corinne - we love you more than words can say, but we'll say it with one of your favorite sayings:  We love you to the moon and back, to the sun and back, and to the garden and back.
