Camping - Part II

We had a path right next to our campsite.  Elsa loved this...she quickly let go of her fear of talking to strangers.  She also loved being able to walk on the path by herself since it was basically connected to our campsite.  Chad and I started "sneaking" pictures of her.  For the last couple of months whenever we ask her to smile she makes a scrunched up face that really isn't much of a smile.  So instead of trying to get her to pose (since it usually ends with a scrunchy face or her running away) we've started sneaking pictures of her.  :)

We spent some time in downtown South Haven.  We took a little rest break from shopping to just relax and enjoy the weather.

This hasn't happened since she rode in the stroller in the infant seat!
She was super excited to wake up from her nap and get a treat!

We thought Elsa would be excited to help build a campfire, make campfire pizzas, and roast marshmallows.  She didn't really react all too much.

Watching Daddy start the fire.

Waiting for their campfire pizzas.

Elsa - our fearless little girl.  She found the fence that blocked in the water spout.  She was being little miss independent and venturing out on her own.  I thought I was going to capture some really cute pictures of her since she didn't know I was watching her, instead, I captured a progression of her thinking she's bigger than she is.

The fall scared her, but as you can see the fence wasn't high.  She was okay after falling to the cement slab that was under the fence...needless to say she didn't try climbing the fence again!

Gavin loved his seat at the table!
Having the play yard was a huge help!  Gavin played in it so nice while we made and cleaned up meals.  Sometimes even Elsa and Daddy got in and played with him! ;)
This little butterfly came to visit us and Elsa was very intrigued by it.
We headed to Kilwin's for Daddy's birthday!

Elsa chose strawberry ice cream.

This little guy really wanted a taste...Mommy said no so he just waited patiently.

After eating our ice cream we headed down by the water where we found Harbor Fest happening.  There was a live band and Elsa thought it was great!
It's hard to see, but Elsa is strutting to the music and clapping her hands.

More beach photos.  Elsa loved the freedom to run around by the water with her new floaty.  She was still in our close range, but thought she was such a big girl!

Gavin really liked being at the beach!

Elsa and Chad went on an adventure during Gavin's morning nap on our last full day of camping.  He was able to get some really good pictures of her - finally!

They went on a hike through the sand dunes.
