Today Gavin is 5 months old - crazy! He is such a happy little boy and we are truly blessed to have him in our family. He's grown so much in the past month and even though he's been sick from daycare - he's still so much fun to be with! He loves Elsa and she's really turning into a great big sister who loves to help "Baby Gavin" (she learned how to say his name) - sometimes she even calls him "Baby Brouwer" or "Baby James Brouwer" or "Gavin James Brouwer" :).
Gavin here are your FIVE month memories:
*You weigh 17 lbs. 5 oz. and are 26 inches tall (I know exactly because I had to take you in today for another teribble cold and labored breathing to find out you have bronchiolitis caused by RSV :( )
*You wear 3-6 month clothes, 6-9 month sleepers and onesies, and size 3 diapers.
*You eat every 3-3.5 hours and nurse for 10-15 minutes total or drink a 4-4.5 oz bottle.
*You love to look around - you like to be held so you can see everything. You like your jump-a-roo and just started bouncing like crazy in it! You also like your bumbo-like seat since it helps you sit up.
*You just discovered your feet and you think they're pretty great.
*Everything goes directly in your mouth! Your hands, toys, whatever you can get ahold of.
*You can roll from your tummy to your back and are close to rolling from your back to your tummy, but you get stuck and then decide it's not worth it.
*You still nap in between each of your feedings. You're awake for about an hour and a half at a time and then nap. You sleep anywhere from 30 minutes at a time to 2 hours. Your naps at daycare are usually pretty short, but every now and again you'll sneak a long one.
*You don't like to be swaddled anymore - you just sleep in your sleep sack at nap and at night and like to have your paci.
*At night you love your bath! You splash in the water while playing with your hands and feet. You usually go to bed between 7 and 8 and sleep until sometimes between 12 and 2, get up and eat, and then go back to sleep until 6:30 or 7.
We love you Gavin James!
