Getting in the Swing of Things

So this week has been a little crazy getting into the swing of things as a family of four.  Elsa has done a great job and loves Gavin so much.  She still has a hard time being gentle and will run to the swing or pack and play shouting "baby, baby, baby" the whole way and then just bangs into it which usually wakes him up and makes him cry.  She doesn't seem to mind his crying though.  She likes to share her lovie and paci with him as well as milk from her sippy and her cheerios.

Elsa checking out Gavin (don't mind the pink pack and play sheet, I forgot to buy a boy colored one!).  She didn't like it that he had a hat on and she didn't, so she found a hat to put on so they'd be the same.  :)

So far Gavin has done a great job sleeping during the day and being awake more during the night, but not nearly as much crying or being up at night as we had with Elsa.  We're getting our days figured out - Elsa is being a great big sister and has enjoyed the extra time at home with us this week.  She and Daddy are becoming quite the buddies.  :)

Elsa's morning starting out with a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, milk, and cheerios.  :)

We had Gavin's first doctor appointment on Tuesday and from Monday to Tuesday he gained one ounce!  It may not seem like much, but it took us forever to get Elsa to gain anything so it was super exciting to me that he gained even just a little bit.  Our doctor said he's a healthy little boy.  We are so thankful for the blessing that Gavin is to our family and to have a healthy, happy (most of the time) little boy making us a family of four!

Gavin liked his car seat better this time!

And this is a picture of Elsa from this week - she just looks older and bigger to us!
