Wow! What a start to summer it's been! The second week of summer Chad went to Colorado with the youth group for the whole week! After he got home, we had VBS for the whole week. So it's been about two weeks without much family time and thankfully we headed out on Friday, June 30 for our South Haven family camping trip. Some much needed family time was definitely spent together! We had beautiful weather, some days were even a tad too hot! We spent a lot of time playing games, riding bikes (by the end of the week Elsa was even allowed to ride around the circle by herself - what a proud girl she was!), going to the beach, playing in the dunes, exploring downtown, and eating yummy foods. It was just what we needed after two weeks of too much time apart.
We did a really late birthday celebration for Daddy at our favorite South Haven restaurant: The Thirsty Perch.
Enjoying ice cream and downtown time!
The beach was a lot of fun. The kids loved the dunes, but also loved the water. We had one day with super huge waves and they really liked riding on the turtle through the waves.
| The fence that lined the walkway that was right at the edge of our site was a very fun toy. |
| As was the hammock and their new trick! |
The park is always fun!
Such a wonderful time making family memories!
