First Haircuts

Elsa's hair has gotten so long!  It's curly, so when it's dry it doesn't seem that long, but when it is wet it is all the way down her back!  Brushing her hair after bath has become a chore because of the tangles, so we decided it was time to get it trimmed.  This was a really hard decision since I love her curls and I knew getting it trimmed would most likely get rid of the curls, but having it so long was making it difficult for her to wear her hair down.  She did a great job sitting like a big girl while she got her trim (it was more like four inches cut off!).  Seeing all that hair on the floor didn't seem to phase her, but it was difficult for me.

A few "pre-haircut" photos to show how long her hair was!

Getting four inches trimmed off...
She did such a good job sitting for Miss Kristi!  Her friend Josie was quite interested in why her mommy was playing with Elsa.  :)

And Elsa now with her big girl haircut!

Gavin's hair was getting too long on the sides and back.  He usually had some great hair dos in the morning :) so we knew it was time for him to get a trim too.  Seeing all that fine baby hair get trimmed off made me a little sad too.  But he did a good job sitting on my lap getting his trim, he didn't love it, but it was quick and now his hair is much more under control.

Gavin before his haircut - it's hard to see the fine baby hair sticking out over his ears

No smiles today.
