Fun at Sandy Pines

Chad took the day off on Friday and we headed to Sandy Pines for an overnight get-away.  TT is home so Elsa was super excited that TT could finally come to Sandy Pines with her!  Elsa had a blast!  It was a trip of many firsts.

She went kayaking for the first time:
She did great!  She rode with Daddy the whole time and enjoyed it, except when she got tired of riding and wanted to get out and walk :)
TT was their kayaking buddy!
She went tubing for the first time:
Elsa did great!  At first she just wanted to get out and swim, but then realized how bouncy the tube was and spent some time on her knees bouncing.
She was really excited to get out and swim.  Once we stopped the boat, she practically jumped out before Chad or Tara were in the water.  She loved swimming around!

On our ride back to shore she switched tubes and rode with TT.
Part way through the ride she decided she wanted to ride with Daddy again, so she jumped over to his tube - while the boat was going!  Talk about one brave two year old!
Gavin got to go on his first boat ride:
Let's just say he was less than impressed by his life jacket.  Thankfully Nana had some good songs to keep him occupied.

They had a fire truck and hoses there for the kids to look at and explore.  We've seen fire trucks while on our morning walks and Elsa is usually pretty intrigued by them, but we've never been this close up and we've never been inside!  Elsa was a little overwhelmed by the "bigness" of it all - but thought it was pretty fun to climb into a fire truck.

She got to spray the giant hose!

Such a super fun weekend!  Thanks TT, Nana, and Papa!
