Elsa got to join the other kids in church and wave palm branches during our Palm Sunday service this morning. We talked about it all morning and she was so excited to be able to do it! She knew she'd get to hold Emma's hand (her big friend whom she adores!) and would get to walk through church and sit and listen to the children's message (something she's never done before). Well she got all lined up with the kids, but wouldn't hold a palm branch. She held Emma's hand and did a great job walking through church and sitting like such a big girl during the children's message. Then she spent the rest of the service in the nursery playing with all the toys.
It was easy to see she was a bit nervous - she didn't really make any facial expressions the whole time! Thankfully Emma was so willing to help! We think she did a great job!
I was totally "that mom" with my camera in church! :) I was so excited for Elsa to be able to participate!
She was listening so closely to the directions on what to do.
Emma waving the palm branch for both of them.
